The Brand
Talmond is a combination of the words “Tropical” and “Almond.” The name reflects the origin of our journey, which began in 2019 when our founder, Elie, rediscovered the tropical almond during my her time in Ghana. This unique nut sparked the idea to create something meaningful and nutritious, rooted in local resources.
Talmond began in 2019 when our founder, Elie, embarked on a search for wholesome, eco-friendly foods leading her back to Ghana. There, she reconnected with a childhood favourite—the tropical almond.
This rediscovery inspired her to explore the potential of this overlooked crop. What started as a personal journey soon grew into a purpose-driven brand committed to innovation, sustainability, and celebrating local food traditions.

No, Talmond products are naturally gluten-free. This makes it an excellent option for individuals with gluten sensitivities or those following a gluten-free diet.
Talmond's Fonio and Tropical Almond drinks are 100% plant-based, making them both vegan and naturally lactose-free.

As a proud Ghanaian brand, Talmond is committed to local sourcing and production. Our raw materials are sustainably sourced from smallholder farmers across Ghana and Togo and processed by our team. This supports local communities and ensures the freshness of our ingredients.
Generally, like most alternative milk beverages, Talmond drinks should be stored refrigerated before opening. Once opened, they should be kept refrigerated and consumed within a few days to maintain freshness and quality. Our dry products, the tropical almond kernels and fonio cereal and
flour should also be stored in a cool, dry place in an airtight container once opened.
